Paid tuned to store margin
Meta and Google structured for creative testing and scale, budgets set against contribution margin from the store data, and attribution you can actually make decisions on.
Fractional CMO for Shopify brands
I'm Monica Hacker, a fractional CMO for Shopify brands. Paid acquisition, Klaviyo email and SMS, conversion on the store and the AI system that connects it all, with one senior person accountable for the number.
Part of my DTC and ecommerce practice. Based in New York and Miami.
The pattern
By the time a Shopify founder calls me there's usually a stack that would embarrass a Fortune 500 marketing team. Shopify, Klaviyo, a subscription app, a reviews app, a post purchase upsell app, Meta and Google, a Triple Whale or Northbeam dashboard nobody trusts. And growth is flat, because each tool is run by a different freelancer and nobody is reading the whole picture.
The Shopify economics are the DTC economics: contribution margin by channel, repeat rate, AOV and the second order. The difference is the data is right there. Shopify plus Klaviyo plus the ad platforms tell you exactly where growth leaks, if someone senior sits down and reads them together.
So that's what I do first. Pull the store, the flows and the ad accounts into one view, find where the margin is going, and rebuild the priorities around it. Then the AI system keeps that view current every week without anyone exporting a CSV.
What I run
01
Meta and Google structured for creative testing and scale, budgets set against contribution margin from the store data, and attribution you can actually make decisions on.
02
Flows rebuilt around repeat purchase and replenishment, segmentation that uses what Shopify already knows, SMS that isn't spam, and a campaign calendar that's not just promos.
03
Product pages, bundles, upsells and checkout tuned around how your customer decides. Fewer discounts, higher AOV, a second order that's the default.
Who this is for
A Shopify brand that is already spending on growth, with a stack that's mostly right, a small team or a few freelancers, and nobody senior owning the number across all of it.
I work natively in Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta and Google and I build the AI growth system on top of them, so reporting writes itself and the first pass of the work runs without you.
This sits inside my DTC and ecommerce practice. Not sure where you stand? Drop your store into the free audit and I'll send you three things I'd tighten up.
Where to start
A read across your store, Klaviyo and ad accounts together: where the margin is going, where the funnel leaks and what to fix first. Delivered in 7 to 10 days with a recorded walkthrough.
What I look at first
Credited toward your first month if you move to a retainer.
Fair questions
Owns the growth number across paid, Klaviyo, the store and retention, leads whoever is doing the work, and reports on what is actually driving profitable revenue. With me you also get the AI growth system connecting Shopify, Klaviyo and the ad accounts.
From $8,500 a month for about 10 to 12 hours a week, 4 month minimum, review at month 3. Paid acquisition on its own from $4,500 a month. A Growth Audit is $1,500 and credited toward your first month.
Yes. Flows, segmentation, campaigns and SMS. I've run Klaviyo for brands directly and I connect it to the reporting system so email revenue is measured against everything else.
The one you'll actually trust. Most of the time the answer is contribution margin from Shopify by channel plus platform data as a directional signal, not a third dashboard. I'll tell you if your setup needs more than that.
Yes. Shopify is the most common, and the playbook works on any DTC stack. See my page on fractional CMO for DTC and ecommerce brands.
I take on a few new clients each quarter. If you're building a Shopify brand that's real, let's talk.
