Acquisition by player
Paid social and search split by beginners, upgraders and club players, with creative that shows the game, not just the gear.
Fractional CMO for padel and tennis brands
I'm Monica Hacker, a fractional CMO for racket sports brands: rackets and gear, apparel, accessories and clubs. Paid acquisition that finds real players, community that does the selling, repeat purchase, and one senior person accountable for the number.
Part of my DTC and ecommerce work. Based in New York and Miami.

HuggiesThe pattern
Padel is new to a lot of American players, and most tennis players already have a brand they trust. The usual setup is a Meta account targeting anyone who likes tennis, a few creator posts, and a site written for experts. Beginners don't know which racket to buy. Regulars buy once, then buy balls and grips somewhere else.
So I start with how players actually buy. Who is new to the game and who is upgrading, which products bring people back, and where clubs and coaches already decide what people buy. Then the plan, in priority order.
What I run
01
Paid social and search split by beginners, upgraders and club players, with creative that shows the game, not just the gear.
02
Partnerships with clubs, coaches and local leagues, creators who actually play, and events that turn into customers.
03
Balls, grips, shoes and apparel on the rhythm people actually play, through email, SMS and bundles, with reporting on repeat rate.
Who this is for
A padel or tennis brand selling rackets, gear, apparel or accessories online and in shops, or a club or court operator, with real media spend and a team or agency producing traffic that doesn't turn into repeat customers. Usually the founder plays, and what's missing is someone senior who owns the number.
This sits inside my DTC and ecommerce work. I also go deeper on fashion and apparel brands and fitness and wellness brands.

What I look at first
Owns growth end to end: strategy, paid acquisition, club and creator partnerships, the site and checkout, repeat purchase, and reporting on what a customer is worth. With me you also get the AI system that keeps the reporting and first pass work running.
From $8,500 a month, 4 month minimum, review at month 3. Paid acquisition on its own from $4,500 a month. A Growth Audit is $1,500, and it's how most engagements kick off.
Yes. A club's number is court bookings and memberships instead of orders, but the problem is the same: getting new players in and keeping them playing. The plan tracks what a new member costs and how many stay.
Yes. Many padel brands start in Europe and are new to American players. The work starts with who the first buyers are, usually clubs and tennis players picking up padel, and builds from there.
What I do
I take on a few new clients each quarter. If your brand is ready to grow, let's talk.
